JWA | John Wayne Airport TRAVEL TIPS for Memorial Day Weekend for Jenny Wedge at OCAir.com

Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of the summer travel season and is traditionally one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. John Wayne Airport (JWA) expects airport traffic to be heaviest on Friday (May 28) and Tuesday (June 1). In 2009, nearly 100,000 passengers traveled through JWA between the Friday before and the Tuesday after Memorial Day.

Visitors to JWA during the Memorial Day holiday weekend should be aware of ongoing construction activities around the Riley Terminal. Passengers and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and give themselves 90 minutes to two-hours to find parking, check their luggage and go through the security checkpoint to ensure they are at their gate in time for their flight.

As part of JWA’s Improvement Program, construction is underway on Terminal C and Parking Structure C, both scheduled to open in late 2011. During Airport construction, some roadways have been narrowed and drivers may experience temporary lane closures. Visitors to JWA are encouraged to exercise caution when navigating Airport roadways and follow posted speed limits. … Continue Reading

BADA BLING | Ice Diva Designs – Me Love You Long-Time (without the minutes) by Kathy Marino

It was a grand day on Facebook catching up with a girlfriend from high school, gone are the days of Tall Flags, I was ecstatic to learn that her accidental hobby has become one of the most sought after ‘can’t-leave-home-without’ accessories for any fashion wear when traveling.

Kim Kovol is the creator and founder of Ice Diva Designs, purveyor of fine Swarovski-crystal adorned phone cases. Kim began designing cases for friends, colleagues and her daughter when strangers and passers-by would stop her in stores, asking her where she procured her simply fabulous iPhone case.

Kim uses only the finest materials to create these luxurious and stylish cases. She begins by consulting with her clients to discuss their design preferences – overall look and feel, palette, Swarovski crystal choices and theme. Kim then begins crafting and personally designing each case by hand (iPhone, Blackberry, Samsung, iPod, etc.),  and custom creates a new travel accessory exclusive to you.  … Continue Reading

ROMANTIC TRAVELERS | Thousands of Passerbys Lock their Memories in Paris on the Bridge Alexandre III by Kathy Marino and Marguerite Munoz

HAUTEOC: First off Emeric, what a beautiful film you’ve created, its compelling and portrays a powerful sentiment for those travelers passionate at heart . . Most people consider the 19th century Pont Alexandre III the most beautiful bridge in Paris — without a doubt it is one of the city’s most opulently decorated bridge – you captured it in your film just beautifully and seamlessly conveyed a powerful message of those romantic at heart.. Tell us how you came to create this film and ‘Forever, locked in Paris..”

FILM ARTIST EMERIC:
Well I must say it’s more or less accidentally! Having the chance to live in a city like Paris, I use to film some places I like here for nearly a year now. But in that case, I was more on my way to take pictures and not to film, one of the most famous bridge in Paris. But while taking pictures I noticed some locks on one of the first statue of the bridge. I took some shots, and while walking on the bridge I found locks all over the bridge. Seeing that, I felt there was a nice subject for a short video, not really knowing how to deal with it yet. So I came back some days later and start filming. … Continue Reading
