Villa La Massa is a fascinating Medici dwelling of the 16th century on the outskirts of Florence. Its 22 acres of gardens, complete with olive groves and lemon trees, make for a pastoral setting. It was turned into a luxury hotel in 1948. After a complete renovation by the Villa d’Este Group in 1998 it reopened and its five hundred years of history live on, telling us tales of Renaissance splendour and the lifestyle of Florentine aristocrats in every nook.
Set on the banks of the river Arno, in the Florentine countryside, next to Chianti Classico, Gallo Nero and Rufina regions, only 5 miles from the historic centre of Florence.
