“I want to play my games, but maybe I won’t be able to anymore.” These are the words spoken by an eight year old survivor from the disaster in Japan. Asato, along with his younger sister and parents took shelter in a classroom when the Tsunami destroyed their home. Both parents admit how hard it is keeping their children occupied in a small area without having secure and safe outside surroundings. Many families with children are currently living in areas where there is no room for safe play. Save the Children Japan Campaign is working around the clock to provide shelters for the most vulnerable survivors, children. The campaign is helping those children cope with the anxiety brought on by this disaster to feel comforted and relieved by setting up safe play areas and providing the necessities.  The  goal for these child-friendly spaces is to provide children with an opportunity to play with other children while freeing up parents to work on the recovery.  Save the Children works … Continue Reading
