FASHIONISTA NOW BOARDING | The Warm-up, Travel, and Stretch-in-Style for Lupus Meet-up – Join Christina Clay, CEO of StyleCliques.com on June 5th

“You don’t have to be a Star to be in my Show” says Fashionista Now Boarding for Lupus, CEO of Style Cliques.com’s Christina Clay shares with Hauteoc Traveler  excellent travel suggestions about traveling with the disease:

Prior to founding StyleCliques.com I traveled City to City for work, and although I can say that I loved jetsetting around the globe, I do recall the wear and tear it had on my body coming home complaining about not getting enough sleep, waiting for my luggage, and of course, the much dreaded flight delays and being stuck at the airport for hours. But there’s nothing more humbling than traveling with a disease. A dear friend of mine, Tracey Holton was diagnosed with lupus and shared this insight with me that inspired me to walk with her to raise awareness about the disease.

HAUTE CHILD N THE CITY | Setai Fifth Avenue Does More for the Girl than Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Kathy Marino

If there is anything to be said about this Orange County girl leaving for a New York City  weekend getaway, its in finding the best way to enjoy an amazing city in a very short amount of time.  Its not often you find a luxury deluxe apartment gem in Midtown Manhattan, mid-spring with an impeccable skyline, but when you do, as I did recently, it can transform even a short weekend getaway into a grand scale blissful escape.  I would have to say, aside from visiting NYC during one the most loveliest times of year, staying at New York City’s finest Skyline soaring more than 60 stories above Fifth Avenue  truly set apart any visit to the City I’ve experienced  as one of the finest and most distinguished elevation of Luxury at the renown 5-Star Hotel Setai Fifth Avenue,  a true inspiration for the soul.

The Setai Fifth Avenue, A Capella Managed Hotel, is just two blocks north of the Empire State Building in the heart of New York City’s fashion and theater districts and only a short stroll away of  major city landmarks such as the Morgan Library, the New York Public Library as well as fashion landmark Bryant Park.

Apartment style living in the prime area of NYC fashion,  doesn’t get any better than this. … Continue Reading

THE ART OF TRAVEL & STYLE | One to One with Werner Escher of South Coast Plaza “Where the World Comes to Shop” by Terence Loose

South Coast Plaza has earned a reputation for attracting the World Traveler.  For over four decades, since its opening in March 1967, Orange County’s South Coast Plaza has always been on the leading edge of style, fashion and innovation. So much so that shoppers from as near as down the street or as far away as Europe and Asia have made a pilgrimage to this destination that VISA named as one of the most famous streets in America to “Stay, Shop, and Dine”, putting it in the lofty company of L.A.’s Rodeo Drive and New York’s Madison and Fifth Avenues. In fact, along with the adjacent world-renowned Orange County Performing Arts Center, it is one of the reasons that coastal Orange County became known as the Orange Riviera; the center epitomizes the sophisticated, fashion-leading, culturally rich “soft urban” landscape that has made The OC – and South Coast Plaza itself – a coveted international destination.

As far back as the eighties, the world was taking notice of Orange County’s growing allure. A 1986 Time Magazine piece entitled Orange Riviera noted that: “The county’s coastal area has transformed itself into a high-energy, high-rolling, high-living megalopolis, creating an ‘Orange Riviera’ brimming with glamour and glitz.” … Continue Reading
