The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is one of the world’s premier travel destinations for arts and culture. It the largest arts festival on the planet, taking place each August in Scotland’s capital. Established in 1947,the festival has become a historic international center of new performance. The 2014 festival spanned 25 days totaling over 3,193 shows from 51 countries in 299 venues. The 2015 festival is anticipated to be the largest arts festival in world history, featuring leading international opera, cabaret, circus, comedy, and theatre performances. This year the festival runs from August 7-31 and tickets for shows are on sale now.
