The Virgin Galactic Flight Costs
The cost of the flight is US $200,000 and there are three deposit options available:
Founders: will be on the first 100 commercial seats. They will be world’s first private astronauts who will be in the vanguard of a new industry.
Pioneers: will gain their Virgin Galactic astronaut wings after Founders. Comprising 350 to 400 individuals, all of whom can expect to be amongst the first 1000 humans in space and to fly within our first year of operation.
Voyagers: are those who share an enthusiasm for private space travel but who are less concerned about being amongst the first to go.

Currently, despite our technological advancements, we are outliving our minds at tremendous rates that will adversely affect not only our families, but also our society. Every 70 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s disease in the U.S. so it is essential that we bring awareness of these facts to encourage the financial support for continued research to preserve our memories.
UC Irvine’s Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (MIND) announced today that it will host its second annual “Wine for the Mind” gala on Saturday, February 12, 2011. The event will run from 7:00 PM to 10 PM. Tickets are $150 per person. The event will be held at the private Orange Park Acres estate of Rand and Rosemary Sperry. This year’s theme is “Save Memories with Style.”
The evening will again raise funds to serve the patients who are diagnosed at the UCI MIND Memory Assessment Clinic. The clinic provides diagnosis, assessment and research for thousands of individuals who face Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders. The State budget has been cut 50%, a $300,000 shortfall that threatens to close the world renowned clinic’s doors.
The exquisitely designed home, yard and lavish pool in The Reserve in Orange, will be transformed into a fashion runway featuring a notable list of community and business leaders who will step out to “save the clinic.” Each will reveal how they have been touched by Alzheimer’s as they support UCI MIND’s scientific and clinical research to fight this disease.
The event will transport guests and their palates around the world. Foods inspired by Italy, France, Spain and the United States will be offered by chefs at stations throughout the grounds. Wines from vintners hailing from these same countries will be paired with the international fare throughout the evening. Guests will also enjoy music, the company of good friends and a live and silent auction.
The Institute also announced that former NFL quarterback Vince Ferragamo, Ferragamo Foundation, will be the Master of Ceremonies. Ed Arnold, news anchor of Real Orange at the newly-named PBS SoCAL will be Auctioneer, and Donna Mills, actress, is the evening’s celebrity guest.
