MEET KATHY MARINO | Founder of HAUTEOC TRAVELER Kathy Marino’s creative instincts and success as a market analyst has been sought by industry leading companies, including Walt Disney, Inc., Fox, Univision, UPN, Freedom Communications, the NHL Mighty Ducks and MLB Angels of Anaheim, Budweiser and others. Marino’s 15-years of multi-media marketing experience has resulted in a proven pedigree in a wide range of fields, from television, radio, and sports sponsorships, to pioneering promotional events, brand building and media buying for national accounts.

Marino joined  Montecito Village Travel to amplify travel services in the automotive luxury arena with the forethought of community building. After three years of producing conceptual events with incentive marketing programs for Aston Martin Newport Beach,  Hauteoc Traveler also proudly shared in the accolades of the dealership’s recognition being #1 in the nation through it’s loyalty program Aston Martin Elite  2010, 2011.

Currently, Marino is the President of Orange County Fashion Week® and founder of the OC Fashion Council, an organization whose mission is  designed to enhance professional development of fashion industry careers by providing a spotlight for local and international emerging designers with a global platform through a production crew formed by it’s Fashioned for the Future (FFF) Apprentice team. FFF  is the first-of-its kind to harness educational with applied theory for intermediate to advance training for emerging students in the fashion world – a work study program – that allows students to take on Project Management through customized mentorship with experts in their field, and active career roles in the production of OC Fashion Week® with goals to accelerate their novice experience to expert level.

Salvador, she later went to study Public Relations in Buenos Aires. 

With a natural love for travelling and any new cultural experiences, Andrea has travelled to many countries in Central and South America, including Bolivia, Brazil and Costa Rica.

She also enjoys writing and recording her trips through photography. Mostly a nomadic “culturally immersed” traveller, as she likes to get an actual feel for the countries costumes and rituals, but also considers herself an explorer, always curious to encounter new experiences, places, people, music and art.

MEET HAUTEOC TRAVELER  JAMES COLEMAN:  HAUTECH
OC Mac was founded by James Coleman, CEO of TechRoom, Inc., based in Newport Beach, California.  TechRoom is famous internationally in Apple service circles for providing no-limits, white-glove service for customers, no matter what they require and when they require it.  James is a serial entrepreneur and a really great guy.  Read his blog here. James is also the expert at technology to support world travelers. As a child, James was raised in part by Pamela Barrus, President of the Travelers Century Club and author of Castle and Palace Hotels, who is still a mentor, friend, and “mom”.  James’ LinkedIn profile can be found here.

Traveler Profile: Romantic adventurous foodie.  Pretty much all three!  My last trip was 6 weeks in Shin-Kobe Japan next to the most awesome food and jet-setting to Kyoto on the bullet train back and forth.

 

 

MEET THE ESCAPE ARTIST | TERENCE LOOSE Our Luxury and Adventure Blogger Award-winning writer Terence Loose’s fiction and nonfiction has appeared in SAIL, Movieline, L.A. Times Magazine, Riviera, Coast, Location3 and other magazines and literary journals in his 18-year professional writing career. He has held editorial positions at both Movieline and Coast, for which he is a current Editor-At-Large.

Loose also holds an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, served as cowriter on MTV’s “Sucks Less with Kevin Smith,” and has taught writing classes at UCLA and UCI. When he is not busy surviving his latest escape attempt, he is planning his next one.
